Reach Sky Island via Shimmering Sanctum

Sky’s Reach sits high above the mainland and is commonly called Sky Island. Registering the waypoint on arrival is your first priority so you can return directly to Cryus without taking the transport route again.

Ensure you have at least 30 Offerings recorded in your Information menu before ascending. If your alignment is short, complete bounties or use a Stone of Accord before traveling.

The Veil Sky Sentinel Unlock Requirements

Sky Sentinel aligns with Offerings. Sins do not contribute toward Cryus’s requirement, so verify your totals under Information before making the ascent.

Speaking with Cryus opens What The Skies Owe. The quest tracker monitors two distinct objectives: defeating 5 Angry Nimbus and holding 1 Cloud In A Bottle. Target defeats count toward the requirement once the class quest has been accepted.

If you already carry a Cloud In A Bottle in your inventory when accepting the quest, the objective immediately registers as 1/1. You do not need to discard or re-farm an existing bottle.

Hunt Angry Nimbus in the Rain

Angry Nimbus enemies have been observed in open grassy clearings of the Glade during rainy weather. When rain begins, search the Glade for floating cloud-like targets.

Searching the Glade during rainfall is an observed player strategy rather than a guaranteed spawn schedule. Recorded runs show instances where rain ended quickly, only a single Nimbus spawned during a storm, or a Nightcall Potion failed to produce immediate targets. Treat rain as an observed hunting opportunity rather than a guarantee.

Focus on your targets and check your quest counter after each defeat to confirm your tally reaches 5/5. While the Bestiary tracks lifetime cumulative kills, your class quest progress is tracked on its own independent objective counter.

Checklist for the Angry Nimbus Hunt

If your quest tracker shows 0/1 for Cloud In A Bottle, you must obtain one from an Angry Nimbus drop. The Bestiary entry for Angry Nimbus lists Cloud In A Bottle at 1/10 and Nimbus Rod at 1/25.

These Bestiary values represent listed odds rather than guaranteed drop thresholds. Defeating ten enemies does not ensure a bottle drop, so continue hunting until the item appears in your inventory.

Once your tracker shows 5/5 Angry Nimbus slain and 1/1 Cloud In A Bottle held, prepare 1,000 Silver and fast travel back to Sky’s Reach.

Pay Cryus and Verify Sky Sentinel Unlock

Returning to Cryus with all hunt objectives satisfied advances What The Skies Owe to stage 3/3. Completing the targets alone does not award the class; you must speak with Cryus to finish your training.

Sky Sentinel Abilities & Summon Synergy

Sky Sentinel provides defensive support for summoners, featuring healing pulses and protective auras that help keep minions alive during boss encounters. It pairs naturally with summoning weapons and Summoning Mastery.

Minion limits depend on your weapon and equipped gear rather than the class alone. For instance, demonstrated five-summon builds rely on specific gear combinations, while weapons enforce their own caps (such as the Imp Staff capped at 2 summons). Sky Sentinel enhances minion survivability within the limits of your equipped weapon.

Developers announced upcoming balance tuning for Sky Sentinel. Check official patch notes and inspect your current in-game ability cards for the latest values when planning your build.

Quick answers

Does Angry Nimbus only spawn during rainy nights?

Gameplay recordings show Angry Nimbus encountered during rain in the Glade. Neither Nightcall Potions nor natural rainfall guarantees an immediate spawn, so treat rain as an observed condition rather than a scheduled timer.

Why is What The Skies Owe not completing after defeating 5 Angry Nimbus?

The quest requires both 5 Angry Nimbus defeats and holding 1 Cloud In A Bottle. If your bottle objective is 0/1, you must acquire one from an Angry Nimbus drop before returning to Cryus, then pay the 1,000 Silver fee.

What should I do if Cryus does not unlock the class after the hunt?

Check that your quest tracker displays 5/5 Nimbus and 1/1 Cloud In A Bottle, verify that you carry at least 1,000 Silver, and return to Cryus at stage 3/3 to continue dialogue and select Pay.

Does Sky Sentinel automatically give you five summons?

No. The five-summon setup was achieved using a specific full gear loadout. Individual weapons enforce their own summon limits (such as the Imp Staff capped at 2).
