The Veil Waypoint Travel & Navigation Controls
Fast travel across The Veil map operates between discovered Waypoint Obelisks. You must interact with an Obelisk in person to register its node before you can teleport to it. The September 6 patch set the travel cooldown to 60 seconds, so plan your transit points carefully.
When orienting yourself on The Veil map, click the central Quest Gem icon on your HUD to toggle a large directional guidance arrow pointing toward your active objective. Carrying a Radar or Life Form Analyzer in your inventory bag adds a dedicated readout directly beside the server leaderboard to aid navigation.
While moving between zones on The Veil map, gamepad players can press and hold R3 to toggle Shift Lock. To cycle equipped weapons while traveling, hold LT (Left Trigger) and press the shoulder bumpers (LB or RB).

The Veil Map: Boss Arenas & Main Quest Destinations
To collect Fire Essence for Bobby's quest before returning to Echohold for the Smoldering Horn, select The Scorch Basin from the Echohold Obelisk menu. After landing, climb the rope line onto the stone platform and scout the glowing orange plants and lava terraces to locate the Cambions. If that obelisk travel point is not unlocked yet, use the HUD guidance on your active Cambion quest to reach the area.
To locate Puppeteer on The Veil map, head to the maze entrance with the broken wooden carriage on the left and navigate to Crumbling Ring during the night cycle. For deep-maze bosses like Stormcaller and Smelter Demon, ensure you arrive at night to shatter Thunder Quartz or break the Smoldering Horn.
Follow Disease Era Tasks
Connect Crypt objectives, Bobby's delivery, and the altar stages in sequence.
Reach Puppeteer
Navigate from the broken carriage entrance to Crumbling Ring at night.
Thunder Quartz & Stormcaller
Obtain Thunder Quartz from Vesper and summon Stormcaller deep in the Veil at night.
Festered Meat & Maw Altar
Carry Festered Meat past Point Of No Return to the Maw Of Decay ritual altar.

Find the Pale Manor on The Veil Map
When your quest displays 'Find the manor the Pale grew around,' click the center Quest Gem if you need a guide arrow to orient yourself. This route picks up mid-approach near an obstructed building in The Pale and guides you forward until you reach the exterior door prompt.

Advance Past the Obstructed Structure and Brutes
Head past the obstructed building shown early on (~00:30) while keeping an eye out for roaming Brutes flagged along the trail (~01:00).
Reach the Exterior Door Prompt
Follow the quest marker toward the destination (~01:30) until the Interact (E) prompt appears at the exterior door (~01:37).
